Netflix to bring original kids animated show ‘Dragons: Rescue Riders’

Netflix is bringing yet another original animated show kids titled DreamWorks Dragons: Rescue Riders, a spinoff of the beloved How to Train Your Dragon franchise. Two seasons of the show, as well as a special, Hunt For the Golden Dragon, are available to stream now on Netflix, and later this month, a musical special, Secrets of the Songwing, can be added to your child’s queue.

According to Netflix, “When a majestic songwing uses her harmonious voice to hypnotize dragons and humans, the Rescue Riders must use the magic of song to save their friends from the harmonic hypnosis.”

Renée Elise Goldberry (Hamilton, Fast and Furious: Spy Racers) stars as Melodia along with Marsai Martin (Little, Black-ish), Zach Callison (Steven Universe, The Goldbergs, Just Add Magic), Skai Jackson (Jessie, Bunk’d, Bubble Guppies, The Smurfs), Noah Bentley (Adam Ruins Everything, Reel Kids, Afternoon Delight), Andre Robinson (Hotel Transylvania 2, Doc McStuffins) and Cassidy Naber (Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, American Horror Story).

The series also features the voice talents of Nicolas Cantu, Brennley Brown, Carlos Alazraqui, Moira Quirk, Roshon Fegan and Brad Grusnick. Additional cast includes John C. MicGinley and Tara Strong. Children are invited to sing along and join the Rescue Riders’ mission to find a way to break the musical dragon’s spell.
