SpongeBob SquarePants wins Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards

This year’s virtually produced telecast of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together, hosted by Victoria Justice (Victorious) on Saturday, May 2, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) continued the events’ tradition of packing in the stars, surprises and slime, as well as revealing kids’ favourite TV shows, movies, games and more.

Perennial Nick favourite SpongeBob SquarePants won the Animated Series category, while Disney’s Frozen II won both Favorite Animated Movie and Male Voice (Josh Gad, “Olaf”). Beyoncé won Female Voice for playing “Nala” in Jon Favreau’s reimagined The Lion King, and Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame picked up the Favorite Movie gauntlet.
