Fox adds new series in the Animation Domination line-up

Fox TV is adopting a new addition to its Animation Domination lineup, giving a series order to Housebroken (formerly titled Therapy Dog), which already has Friends star Lisa Kudrow tapped for the lead voice role. The half-hour comedy comes from Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, Fox Entertainment and Fox-owned Bento Box Entertainment (Bob’s Burgers).

The series will be an irreverent look at human dysfunction through the eyes of a group of suburban neighbourhood animals. Lisa Kudrow is attached to star alongside Clea DuVall, with Sharon Horgan, Will Forte, Nat Faxon, Tony Hale, Jason Mantzoukas, Sam Richardson, Bresha Webb and Greta Lee rounding out the cast.

DuVall (The Intervention), Jennifer Crittenden (Veep, The Simpsons) and Gabrielle Allan (Veep, Scrubs) will be writing executive producers. Kaplan, Horgan, Dana Honor (A Million Little Things) and Clelia Mountford (Frayed) will be non-writing exec producers.

Home to longstanding hits The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers, Fox’s Animation Domination block welcomed Emily Spivey’s Bless the Harts at the end of September and has ordered a second season. Duncanville, from Amy Poehler and Simpsons alums Mike and Julie Scully, will premiere February 16. Also set for 2020 is The Great North, from Bob’s Burgers creator/exec producer Loren Bouchard and writers/exec producers Lizzie Molyneux and Wendy Molyneux.
